"I'm reminded, favourably, of Angelo Badalamenti's scores for Twin Peaks as Ausmerzen has that same dreamy quality to the music. It's a twilight album full of sleepy colours and vague shapes and for the most part it's really quite beautiful."
- WONDERFUL WOODEN REASONS
"Laube is a beautiful little beast with ill-intentions buried back into its subconscious, filtered through the soft touches from a trio of instrumentalists who cull as sweet of sounds as humanly possible from an otherwise dour, dark, and dank environment. The electric piano warbles out in a wavy blanket of tone, notes glide in with zero attack or give a quick gutteral punch when appropriate. Drums, with its steady pulse of brushed snare and cymbal, drip like molasses in January, and the bass just rolls out in elongated smears of shady color."
